.AASEG & Oakland Arena Gets Oak View Group & Legends Global’s $100 Million Offer – Is WNBA Coming? The project that was originally started with Ray Bobbitt’s intent of bringing the NFL back to Oakland has started on that path but in an albeit not obvious way. On Tuesday and Thursday of this week, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors announced that a group referred to in a non-binding term sheet as “Arena Buyer” wants to purchase the Oakland Arena separate from the Oakland Coliseum as a whole and for $100 million. One of the organizations that make up the “Arena Buyer” Group is The Oak View Group, but the other one was unnamed until now and by Zennie62media: Legends Global. That pairing almost automatically means that a new major league team is coming to Oakland, and Zennie62media’s assertion based on conversations with well-placed sources is that it will be a WNBA team. Oak View Group and Legends Global are major developers and operators in the sports and live entertainment industry, both heavily involved in the WNBA. OVG develops and operates arenas (like Climate Pledge Arena) that host WNBA franchises, while Legends manages commercial strategies, premium seating, and global sponsorship sales for women’s basketball teams. Oak View Group And Legends Tied To NFL, Major Sports Teams Legends Global is owned by Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones via Jones Concessions LP, and is joined by YGE Holdings, LLC: An affiliate of the New York Yankees, and global investment firm Sixth Street is majority owner. Legend’s also merged with ASM Global, the current service vendor for The Oakland Arena, in 2024. So, while Legends takes over for ASM Global, the same staff as before remains. Also, The Oak View Group’s investors are Silver Lake, the legendary private equity firm that has Las Vegas Raiders new majority owner as its co-CEO, Egon Durbin. If you take a look at what The Oak View Group did in the development of the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, and OVG’s acquisition of Climate Pledge Arena (now owned by The Seattle Kraken ownership, led by Samantha Holloway, there’s a clear model used by OVG: buy, build, and sell part of it, and get monetary benefits from the new whole. And in the case of the Oakland Arena, at $100 million, buying it at a bargain-basement price and then pouring in a billion to upgrade it (which is what the NFL wanted to do to keep the Raiders in Oakland but was rejected by Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf), sets up a scenario of refurbishment that will turn it into a multi-billion dollar sports and entertainment facility. And here’s why. In a document called “Changing The Game: Unlocking New Opportunities In Sports” Dan Dees, Co-Head of Global Banking and Markets for Goldman Sachs, writes “The game is changing. And so are the players. Heightened consumer interest, technological advances, and an increasingly diversified media engine have created a dynamic sports ecosystem that is integrated into our global culture like never before. Corporates and institutional investors are paying closer attention, and we expect to see sports holding companies with diversified cash flows emerge as the landscape evolves. Investors deploying capital throughout the ecosystem position themselves at the nexus of strategic decision-making, with the opportunity to shape the future of sports.. Oakland’s Undervalued Sports Facilities Place It As Bay Area Ground Zero For Investment Opportunities So you may ask “why Oakland?” Oakland is widely considered a highly undervalued sports market due to its large, untapped fan base and central location in the San Francisco Bay Area. The city recently underwent a massive “clean slate” overhaul following the departure of its traditional “Big Four” franchises, clearing the way for new, community-driven sports models. Oakland is not just a legacy town; in the Oak View Group and Legends Global’s purchase of Oakland Arena, it’s the next place to be in sports, once again.

This video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. What we call “The Third Wave of Media”.
The uploaded video is from the Zennie62 YouTube channel. It is automatically uploaded to and formatted automatically at the nflnewsbyzennie62.com site and Zennie62-created and owned social media pages. The overall objective here, on top of our is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours – is the use of the existing YouTube social graph on any subject in the World.
Now, news is reported with a smartphone and also by promoting current content on YouTube: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary, or having a camera crew to shoot what is already on YouTube. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution.
We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this approach, the problem is far less, though by no means solved.
Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
