One year ago, Oaklanders chose a new direction—one rooted in unity, accountability, and results. Together, we got to work and are turning the page on division. Today, Oakland is on the move. By working together, violent crime is down. Homicides reached a 58-year low, and we are on the right path to make every neighborhood safer. Streets are cleaner. Affordable housing is under construction. We have brought together labor and business, neighborhood leaders and community advocates, young people and seniors, to move our city forward. But our work is far from finished. Over the next four years, I will continue fighting for safer neighborhoods, more affordable housing, effective solutions to homelessness, cleaner streets, good-paying jobs, support for arts and culture, and a government that delivers for the people.
